    James Kellogg

    General Manager

    James has over 40 years of management experience in the local hospitality industry, spanning Hotel (Pebble Beach Lodge), Fine Dining (Fresh Cream Restaurant) and Private Club (MPCC, The Beach & Tennis Club, Tehama Golf Club, Pasadera Country Club). James is focused on the highest level of customer service and enjoys being an active part of the Club service staff. He believes that attention to detail and the ongoing goal to have the best maintained facility possible are two of the most important aspects for any Club manager. Development of a strong and motivated team of staff members, that are both warm and professional, are what have made CVAC the great Club it is today and, what will continue to make this a Club that everyone would enjoy!

  • Paige McKay

    Membership Director

    Paige began working at CVAC in 2008. She has worked at CVAC in variety of department including landscaping, accounting, and front desk. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Modern Literature, Paige came back to CVAC and was promoted to Concierge Director in 2015. In 2017 her job expanded to Membership Director. Her responsibilities include hiring and training new concierge employees, ensuring that the front desk operations are running smoothly, and signing up new members. She can help answer any questions and sign-up members for club events. She hopes to be part of CVAC forever.


    “I love being able to interact with so many of the wonderful members we have at CVAC. I grew up here, and the members helped shape who I am today. I love being surrounded by the kind and genuine people that CVAC attracts.”

  • Brian Cory

    Tennis Director

    Brian is a USPTA 1 Elite Professional and he is a current competitive player that carries a 5.0 NTRP rating. He has been ranked #1 in the nation in men’s doubles over 16 different years in the senior divisions (25’s, 30’s, 35’s, 40’s and 45”s). Brian has been ranked #1 or #2 for the last 10 years in the men’s 35, 40 and 45 doubles. Brian has won 12 national doubles titles along with numerous Northern California Men’s Open titles to his credit as well. He was ranked #1 individually in Northern California Men's Open Doubles in 2006 and 2007. Brian was world ranked in men's doubles on the ATP Tour in the 1990’s, 2006 and 2007. He played college tennis at the University of Arizona and UC Santa Barbara. He was ranked in the top 10 in Northern California from the 12’s to the 18’s every year and was nationally ranked from the 14’s to the 18’s in junior play. Brian was the Tennis Director at Meadowbrook Swim and Tennis Club, Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club, Pasadera Country Club, CVAC and Seascape Sports Club. Brian was also the boy’s varsity coach for Carmel High School and Monterey High School.

  • Megan Canning

    Fitness Director

    Megan began working at CVAC in 2014, after working at several clubs in the bay area as a fitness director. She started as the instructor for BODYFLOW and was promoted to the position of Fitness Director a few months later. She is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Life Style & Weight Management Coach, IPA Pre/Post Natal specialist, a TRX Personal Trainer, and certified in teaching Les Mills Bodypump, Bodycombat, Bodyflow, Yogafit, and Silver Sneakers. Her responsibilities include hiring and training Personal Trainers, Pilates Instructors and Group Fitness Instructors as well as managing the fitness class schedule.

  • Dominic De La Torre

    Youth Activities Director

    Dominic began working at CVAC in 2013. He has worked in many different departments including Kids Club, Front Desk, and Aquatics. Dominic has a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University of Monterey Bay and is ACSM-CPT, Water Safety, and Lifeguard Certified. In 2016 he was promoted to Aquatics Director, and at the beginning of 2017 he took over the responsibilities of Kids Club and became the Youth Activities Director. His responsibilities include hiring and training new kids club, aquatics, and camp employees, and supervising all youth activities including Parent’s Night Out, swim lessons, SPLASH, and Family Pool Days.


     “I love everything about my job from changing diapers, building forts, to teaching swim lessons. I am very grateful for all the friendships I have made with all the families and children.”

  • Audrey Brown

    Accounting Director

    Audrey has been the Accounting Director at CVAC since 2005. Her responsibilities include member billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and all other accounting services for CVAC. She also assists CVAC members in any way she can to make sure all member requests are addressed. My #CVAClife... Competing in our monthly poker tournaments. (831) 620-7361
  •  Alexandria Olpin

    Refuge Director

    Alexandria began working at CVAC in May 2017 as the Refuge Director. This will be her first role in the CVAC family. She joins us with over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry.  Most of those years were spent with one of our favorite neighbors, Bernardus Lodge & Spa, where she worked as the Front Office Manager. With her biggest priority every day being a positive experience for every guest, her responsibilities at Refuge are unlimited.  She is ready to offer any support needed for both Refuge guests and CVAC members.

  • Kyle McKay

    Marketing Director

    Kyle began working at CVAC in 2012 as the Social Media Coordinator after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in English and an emphasis on early modern studies. In 2014 she was promoted to Marketing Director. Her responsibilities include communicating events to members through various media including the newsletter, emails, printed flyers, and social media. She also manages the website, social media accounts, and all club advertisements.

  • Fernando Munoz

    Housekeeping Director

    Fernando began working at CVAC in 2009 as a part time housekeeper before moving to full time in 2011. Prior to joining the CVAC team he worked at the Hyatt and Motel 6 in both housekeeping and maintenance, respectively. In 2014 he was promoted to Housekeeping Director and took on the responsibilities of scheduling staff, ordering supplies, and monitoring inventory. In addition to directing the housekeeping department he also runs laundry and makes sure CVAC members are amply supplied with towels throughout the day.


    “I love everything at CVAC, especially all the friends and teachers I have met while working here. I enjoy the feeling of pushing myself to do better and seeing how it affects those around me.”

  • Bridget McKay

    Salon Director

    Bridget began working at CVAC in the summer of 2008. She started in landscaping and front desk. After graduating with honors from Pivot Points flagship school under the watchful eye of world renowned Leo Passage in 2008, she began building her clientele by working at a few Salons in Carmel. In 2012 she moved into the CVAC Salon as the Salon Director and full time stylist & colorist.


    “I have two favorite things about my job the first would have to be the clients I have the privilege of working with and the second would be personalizing haircuts and color to suit the person.”

  • Kelly Pegler

    Pilates Director

    BA (HONS), LRAD, ARAD, Alan Herdman Pilates Teacher

    Kelly was born in Palos Heights, Illinois. At the age of twelve she decided to focus on training in Classical Ballet. From 2004-2007, Kelly was a student at the American Academy of Ballet in New York. Kelly gained her BA (HONS) from the Royal Academy of Dance. From an early stage in her dance training, Kelly used Pilates as a form of body conditioning. Her love of Pilates led her to train with Master Pilates Teacher Alan Herdman in London, where she became certified as a comprehensive Pilates teacher. While on the course, Kelly was fortunate to study with physiotherapist Shirley Hancock, gaining an invaluable insight on rehabilitation for clients of all ages. After completing her Pilates certification, Kelly was invited to teach the girls Body Conditioning at The Royal Ballet School in London. Through this position at The School, Kelly was able to observe and work with dancers from The Royal Ballet.


    Whether it be for rehabilitation or maintaining a well-balanced, healthy body, Kelly is eager to continue developing her practice and sharing her love of the life changing way of Pilates.
